Backstage pass: meet Doug

He’s quiet and humble. And he plays the loudest instrument in the band Plebeian.

Doug Maggio is Plebeian’s drummer, and he really doesn’t say much. But when he does speak, his words are important.

In Plebeian Revealed, Doug communicates mostly through a raised eyebrow to keyboardist Michael, and then Michael gladly translates for him. But by the end of Plebeian Revealed, Doug speaks for himself in a strong moment of clarity during a bad situation.

In Plebeian in Danger (book two- coming out next week), Doug begins a transition of his own. His journey is fun to watch (well, actually, to read!) In book two, the band members of Plebeian will turn heads and look at him as he once again brings a strong moment of clarity during a bad situation.

My favorite quote from Doug in Plebeian Revealed:  “Sunglasses.”

Yeah – that’s all he said. And wasn’t he right when he said it!
