His sandy-brown hair is fashionably spiked and a swoon-worthy smile often spread across his tanned face. Shane Mitchell, a record company executive at Platinum Plate Records, emerges by page four in Plebeian In Danger as one of the main characters. But if you read book one, Plebeian Revealed, you would have found him throughout that book too. That is, if you looked hard enough. Shane has been involved with the fictional band Plebeian since the beginning and is involved in several scenes in Plebeian Revealed. By Plebeian In Danger though, Shane has a new role: President of Platinum Plate Records. He’s close to the guys in the band, and to Lauren. She trusts Shane at a time when she doesn’t trust many people. In fact, Shane is by her side when she faces her most difficult challenge to date. As the plot of Plebeian In Danger unfolds, Shane is in the middle of all the action. We learn more about his goals, his dreams and his feelings. And if you are like my beta readers who helped proof the book: many of you will start to fall for him. But nothing is as good as it seems. Situations become dangerous. Lauren has tough choices to make. And Shane is once again in the middle of the action as the book comes to a dramatic conclusion. I have to admit as a writer, I started falling for Shane too. He’s funny, irresistible, rich. And while I was developing his character and this story, I changed some plot points to make things, well, interesting. My favorite spoiler-free quote from Shane: “I carry this everywhere.” Comments are closed.
