Launch time!

Eight months in the making, it's time to launch THE DOCTOR, THE CHEF OR THE FIREMAN!

This book was a challenge project for me. I still don't consider myself a writer, even after writing the three books of the Plebeian series. I'm just beginning this new career and I wondered, could I ever develop characters that I love as much as Lauren, Andy, Johnny and the gang in Plebeian? But when this story idea developed in my mind, and I spent the month of September researching, I thought I had something and maybe I should give it a try.

When I opened a blank word document and started typing, I began to fall in love. Kendra, our main character, is young and just beginning her post-college career. She's mature, but not in all things and especially not in love. We find her grounded yet distracted, by love and by the fine and fancy things she craves. When Matt (the fireman), Nolan (the chef) and Christopher (the doctor) come on page, they developed exactly as I imagined. All three are attractive - of course! - and all three have strengths and weaknesses. The question is: who is the dangerous one? And the biggest question: will Kendra find true love?

Although this is a stand-alone novel, I couldn't help but inject some Plebeian into the story. Someone from the Plebeian series appears in this novel too in a character prequel. If you liked the Plebeian stories, then this this character will feel very familiar, right down to the blue boat shoes. ;)
